What are PDO-threats?

The treatment procedure consists of: a free intake of 10 minutes, the administration, anesthetic, the treatment itself, instructions from the doctor for the best possible result and a check-up appointment if needed.

During a no-obligation intake of 10 minutes prior to the treatment, the doctor will give you personal advice. He listens carefully to your wishes and tells you what possibilities there are. He will also discuss the treatment and the expected results with you. It is also possible to schedule a non-binding intake separately from the treatment.

We recommend that you do not drink or smoke alcohol for 48 hours before treatment. Furthermore, it is important not to take blood-thinning medication. For the free intake and administrative handling, we ask you to be present 15 minutes in advance.

After the administration and intake, the doctor starts the treatment. He disinfects the skin and marks the puncture points. If you wish, the doctor will start with an anesthetic. With the help of an anesthetic syringe, he can anesthetize the entire trajectory of the threat or the place where the cannula is inserted. Then he carefully places the PDO threat under your skin using a thin injection needle or inserts the wire with a cannula through a previously pricked opening. After placement, he removes the needle/cannula and the thread remains under the skin and in the desired location. The thread is placed in the subcutaneous connective tissue and is invisible.

There is a slightly visible result immediately after the treatment. But you will see the maximum result only after 3-5 months. The first days after the treatment you may experience a slight swelling, some redness and bruising. This quickly pulls away. For the best possible result, it is important to follow the doctor's instructions carefully.

The treatment is very safe; after all, the doctor does not have to cut into the skin, and the threads are soluble. There are no visible scars and healing is very fast. Immediately after the treatment, the first result is slightly visible, after 3-5 months this is optimal. You no longer have to be annoyed by crow's feet, marionette lines, turkey neck, and so on.

You cannot be treated with PDO threats:

• If you are allergic to polydioxanone.
• If you have infections or acute inflammation in the treatment areas.
• If you have undergone dental treatment just before the treatment.
• If you have an autoimmune disease.
• If you are taking anti-coagulation medication.
• If you are under 18 years of age.
• If you have cancer.
• If you are pregnant.
• If you have a predisposition to form pink, wide scars.
• If you have extremely sagging skin.
• If you lose an extreme amount of adipose tissue in your face or neck.
• If you have already undergone a surgical facelift in the affected areas in the past.

You will probably get some bruising or slight swelling in the first few days after the treatment. However, these symptoms go away within a few days. If you suffer from other complications; immediately contact our clinic or your general practitioner.

The PDO wire lift method is extremely safe. After all, the threats have also been used in surgery for many years. They are 100 percent biodegradable.
