Upper arm lift

One of the main reasons for avoiding sleeveless tops and dresses is insecurity about the upper arms. Even if you are fit and have a low body fat percentage, your upper arms can sag. As we age, the body's production of essential proteins that keep the skin flexible slows down. The skin droops due to the reduction of elastin and collagen. Exercising does not give the desired effect and surgery leaves a visible scar. Lanluma is a special filler that stimulates the production of collagen in the skin and therefore lifts the skin of the upper arm, without scarring and without an intensive recovery process.

Lanluma is a different type of filler than a filler based on hyaluronic acid. The substance poly-L-lactic acid, in Lanluma, gradually sets the body to work to produce collagen. That means it will take some time to see the results of your treatment, but your patience will be rewarded – the result will last for 3 to 5 years. What also makes Lanluma different from the fillers you are probably used to, is that Lanluma can be used very well for larger surfaces. We can fill your hip dips with Lanluma, for example!

Body shaping can include the following areas:

  • Fill up Hip dips
  • butt lift
  • buttock enlargement
  • Forearm lift
  • Wrinkles on the décolleté
  • Knees
  • Elbows

Filler brands we use

We use Lanluma to create and restore volume on large surfaces in the body. This is a different type of filler than fillers based on hyaluronic acid (such as Stylage) and/or calcium (such as Radiesse). Lanluma is a unique filler based on Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA), which stimulates the production of collagen in the body. The volume of the treated area gradually becomes visible in 3 to 6 months after the treatment. Unlike fillers based on hyaluronic acid, you need a little patience before you see real results. This patience is rewarded; the result lasts for 2 to 3 years.

The Procedure of the Treatment

The treatment procedure consists of the following parts: a free intake of 10 minutes, possibly an anaesthetic, the administrative processing, the treatment itself, instructions from the doctor for the best possible result and a check-up appointment if needed.

Personal Advice

To start with, you will receive personal advice from one of our doctors. Our doctors are specialized in creating and restoring volume in the body. During a non-binding intake of 15 minutes you express your wishes to the doctor and the doctor will draw up a treatment plan based on this. The doctor will also tell you what to expect from the treatment and discuss possible alternatives. You can also plan this non-binding and free intake interview separately from a treatment.

Before the Treatment

You can start taking arnica tablets a few days before the treatment. This is not necessary, but it is allowed. Arnica tablets reduce the chance of swelling and bruising. You are also more likely to bruise if you drink alcohol, smoke, eat garlic and use blood-thinning drugs such as ibuprofen.

We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes in advance. We then have the time for the administrative processing.

The Treatment

The doctor will first mark the area with you, then anesthetize the puncture site of the cannula. A cannula is inserted and from that point the desired area is filled.

After the Treatment

You will experience some bruising, redness and slight swelling after the treatment. This is most visible in the first 3 days. The entire deswelling period lasts 2 weeks. Also, 20 to 30 percent of the initial volume will decrease. You have also received some instructions from the doctor. It is important to follow these carefully, for the best possible result. For example, for the next 5 days after the treatment, you should massage the area for 5 minutes for 5 times a day.

When you come for the first time, it is important that you know that all fillers have a build-up period, including Lanluma. You may have to come back a few times for the desired result. If the desired result has been achieved, this will remain for 2 to 3 years. After that, a touch up is needed. This will probably require less than with the first treatment, but this differs per person and depends on your wishes.

Check-up, after-treatment and re-treatment

It is possible to have a check-up 6 to 8 weeks after the treatment. If you suffer from bumps, asymmetry or other irregularities, we can treat them free of charge. It is also possible to schedule a retreatment if, for example, you are not yet satisfied with the volume or you are still building up.
