WEAVE

Weaves are long strands of hair sewn into layers of your natural hair. The extension is comparable to extension with a clip-in. The hair is braided and sewn with a needle and thread, or is attached using a micro ring.

If the strips are properly attached to the hair and the strips are placed upwards within 6 to 8 weeks, this method is not harmful to your own hair.

CLIP IN

Clip-in extensions consist of a web of hair woven together with clips attached so that the hair is always ready to use. All you have to do is snap the pieces into your own natural hair!

Clip-in hair extensions are the least permanent type of extensions because they can be removed and put back on at any time. Clip-ins, unlike some of the other hair extension methods mentioned above, take about 5 to 15 minutes to apply at home. One of the many reasons why it is one of the most popular types of hair extensions is because of this. Clip-in hair extensions can be harmful if you do not install them correctly, which can lead to hair loss.

TAPE IN

Tape-in ​​hair extensions are a semi-permanent option. Tapes are the quickest and easiest way to apply and remove hair extensions after clip-ins. Unlike clip-ins, this method of temporary hair extension requires the assistance of a trained, professional stylist.

Tapes are usually 2.5 cm wide and are stuck to the hair with glue. Tape-in ​​extensions do not cause as much tension and breakage in natural hair as other permanent extension methods because they are applied to such a large amount of hair.

Tape-ins are the most popular semi-permanent method used by celebrities and top stylists as they are the easiest to apply and remove while maintaining a natural and discreet look. Tape extensions are often used by stylists to thicken a short bob around the front of the hair, giving the face a blunt frame.

Tape-ins are suitable for most hair types and are known to cause the least long-term damage to your natural hair when applied correctly.

WAX EXTENSIONS

A piece of wax attached to the end of a section of hair for extension is fused to small sections of hair using a heated clamp. For people with finer hair, pre-bonded hair extension methods are often a better option because they don’t stress the root of your natural hair as much as other permanent hair extension methods. Your hairdresser may advise against fusion bonds if your hair is damaged by over-processing or heat styling; hot-fusion risks further damage to your natural hair.

MICRO RINGS

A micro ring or nano bead is clamped to each individual point using special hair pliers. The beads are colored to match your natural hair and the points are patterned in neat rows around the head. This application method does not use heat or glue to bond the extensions to the hair and, if done correctly, can be a very safe and discreet method.

Nanobeads are typically copper beads that are better suited for people with thicker hair. Because they are 90% smaller than micro rings, they are the most discreet way of hair extension. Despite their size, micro rings are a discreet method that can often be applied and removed more quickly. It is recommended to use only silicone-lined beads or rings regardless of the method you use; the silicone protects your natural hair and prevents slipping.

With micro rings, both strips and individual strands can be placed in the hair. Individual tips are recommended for you if you often tie your hair up, as individual hairpieces allow your hair to move more freely.
