Tear trough correction is done using Teosyal or Hyaluronic Acid filler. Teosyal is specially developed for the tear trough as it attracts minimal moisture. For deep-set eyes, an ultra-thin cannula is used. A cannula is a blunt needle that places the filler precisely in the correct location, minimizing the risk of bruising. Tear trough filler refreshes the under-eye area and provides a more youthful appearance.

The entire treatment takes approximately 30 minutes.

Results are visible immediately after the treatment. In the first few days, mild overcorrection may occur due to swelling. Some people may also retain a bit more fluid around the eyes during the first two weeks. The optimal result is visible after approximately two weeks.

The effects of the treatment usually last between 12 to 18 months, depending on the individual. With regular treatments, results tend to last longer.

During the first three days, mild swelling and bruising may appear, which will gradually subside. Do not massage the treated area within 48 hours unless advised otherwise by your doctor. Avoid sunbeds, saunas, and direct sun exposure for the first 2 weeks.

UV exposure can increase sensitivity, cause pigmentation, and affect your results. Use a high SPF sunscreen to protect the healing skin.
