The consultation always takes place with the doctor who will perform your treatment. During this conversation, you can explain what bothers you most and what you would like to change. The doctor will assess whether the desired result is achievable or if another treatment would be more suitable. Your medical history will be reviewed, and the technique, recovery time, pros and cons, potential risks, and costs will be thoroughly discussed.

Photos will also be taken for your medical file. These are strictly for internal use and will never be shared with third parties without your consent.

If both parties agree, you can immediately schedule the procedure. After scheduling, you will receive a confirmation email with a medical questionnaire. It is essential to fill this out carefully.

You may continue using your regular medications if approved by your doctor. However, some medications must be stopped beforehand:

• Limit nicotine and alcohol use.
  
• Blood thinners must be discontinued 10 days before surgery after consulting with your doctor.
  
• Temporarily stop taking hormonal medication if needed.
  
• Stop using vitamin supplements (A, E, omega-3, etc.) at least 4 weeks prior.
  
• Prepare cooling pads for post-op care.

Bring dark sunglasses to protect your sensitive eyes and reduce visible swelling after surgery.

The procedure starts with the application of local anesthetic. The eyelids are marked before surgery. During the eyelid correction, excess skin and fat are removed. Blood vessels are cauterized to prevent bleeding, and the incision is sutured carefully.

The stitches are placed in the natural fold of the eyelid to ensure minimal scarring. Dissolvable stitches may also be used on the sides for internal support. The incision is closed using fine threads and hypoallergenic tape, which must not be removed.

The procedure takes approximately 90 minutes. Cooling the area afterward is highly recommended and helps reduce swelling and discomfort.

Upper eyelid correction gives you a more open, refreshed look. Many patients report fewer headaches and a less tired appearance. The results are noticeable shortly after the stitches are removed (usually after 2 weeks). Scars will initially be visible but will gradually fade within a few weeks. Once healed, the eyelids will appear lifted and rejuvenated.

• You may drive again once your vision is fully restored.
  
• Rest and cool your eyes regularly for the first 3 days to reduce swelling.
  
• Elevate your upper body (even during sleep) to reduce swelling and promote healing.
  
• You may experience difficulty closing your eyes completely on the first day due to swelling.
  
• Stitches are typically removed after 2 weeks.
  
• Avoid wearing contact lenses during the first week.
  
• Most people can return to work within a few weeks.
  
• Avoid getting your eyes wet while showering for the first few days.
  
• After 3 weeks, you may apply nourishing creams and gently massage the area.
  
• Avoid UV exposure (tanning beds/sun) for at least 3 months.
  
• You may use makeup after 2 weeks, provided no scabs remain.
  
• Protect healing scars from sunlight for at least 12 months using sunglasses, a hat, tape, or SPF 30+ sunscreen.

Swelling and redness around the eyes are common and usually subside within 2 weeks.
